Continuing medical education: issues of improving the professional level of specialists working with biological agents of groups I—II of pathogenicity
AbstractThe training of highly qualified specialists for working with pathogenic biological agents in the format of continuous medical education requires solving a number of issues.
The aim is to assess the possibilities of implementing the basic principles of improving the professional level of specialists working with biological agents, within the framework of continuous medical education.
Material and methods. Legislative and regulatory documents; discussion materials and analytical materials posted on the websites of the Ministry of Health; publications on continuing medical education; materials of educational events (conferences, webinars) posted on the Portal of Continuing Medical Education; continuing education programs.
Results and discussion. It is advisable to improve the qualifications of specialists working with pathogens of especially dangerous infections in the Continuing Medical Education system according to additional professional programs developed in research anti-plague institutes, which ensures the improvement of knowledge, experience and the formation of competencies in accordance with the areas of professional activity. The combination of full-time and part-time forms with the integration of information, telecommunications, and distance learning technologies into the educational process is optimal. This makes it possible to quickly obtain information and improve the quality of education.
Conclusion. Research anti-plague institutes can perform the functions of centers of continuous education for specialists working with biological agents.
