Challenges and opportunities of blended learning in medical education

Abstract

The review examines blended learning as one of the trends in modern higher education, the relevance of which in a medical university will increase, and the need for widespread implementation of which is already obvious. Blended learning concepts and approaches are still interpreted in different ways. The review presents various models of blended learning and their use in national and foreign practice of medical education. The change in the role of the teacher and his relationship with students in the new conditions of blended learning are discussed. The need for a teacher of a medical university to master modern information, communication and educational technologies is emphasized.
