Acute HIV-infection and hyperactivation of the immune system: clinical case of the development of the hemophagocytic syndrome

Abstract

The article presents a clinical example of the development of hemophagocytic syndrome at the background of acute HIV infection, which illustrates the importance of inflammatory and hyperimmune reactions in HIV infection, especially in its acute stage.
