Features of HIV infection among men who have sex with men in the Republic of Tajikistan
AbstractThe HIV epidemic in the country is continuing to remain at the stage when the infection is Largely concentrated in key vulnerable populations, however, the infection gradually goes beyond key groups via bridging groups (sexual partners of IDUs and femaLe partner's bisexual men). A group of men who have sex with men (MSM) is a group of hard-to conduct research. In particuLar, access to the members of the group can, in most cases only by MSM-friendly associations with the condition of the hard confidentiality and respect for their human dignity. In connection with the registration of the increase of HIV infection in the Republic of Tajikistan, is necessary to conduct sentinel surveillance (SS) in this group of the population with a view to developing measures to prevent it and reduce the risk of transmission.
