Clinical case of combined course of focal pulmonary tuberculosis with secondary amyloidosis and COVID-19
AbstractThe article presents a clinical description of a case of acute respiratory distress syndrome development and the disintegration of the focal pulmonary tuberculosis capsule against the background of COVID-19 with a fatal outcome.
The peculiarity of the case is a rare localization of pulmonary tuberculosis (SVIII–IX), which lasted for several years. An autopsy in the lower parts of the lungs revealed a disintegrated capsule with signs of tuberculous granulomatous inflammation, caseous foci with exudative-productive inflammation along the periphery of the necrotic focus, amyloid deposition with areas of sclerosis was detected in the lung vessels.
