Antiretroviral therapy in patients with HIV-infections and tuberculosis

Abstract

Modern approaches to using the ART in patients with HIV infection and tuberculosis are presented in article. Prescriptions to start the ART, optimum terms of using the ART and a choice of the most effective and safe scheme of ART, taking into account medicinal interactions and co-morbidity, – the key points in therapeutic approach at HIV infection and tuberculosis combination. Rifampicin using in PTT scheme essentially narrows a range of antiretroviral drugs. Inclusion of raltegravirin the doubled dose in ART scheme structure showed good efficiency and safety of ART in HIVinfected patients receiving treatment by rifampicin.

Replacement in PTT scheme of rifampicin on rifabutin simplifies making decision about ART scheme structure.
