Clinical and laboratory features of helminthiasis in HIV-infected patients

Abstract

To study the features of clinical manifestations of helminthiasis in HIV-infection and characteristics of clinical and laboratory parameters in parasitic infestations in groups of HIV-infected patients with helminthiasis. There were 168 people in the study. Of these, two groups of HIV-infected - 109 people with helminthiasis and 29 people without helminthiasis, 30 people - a control group of healthy people without HIV infection with helminthiasis on the basis of the Republican center for prevention and control of

AIDS and infectious diseases, Ufa, Russia for 2016-2017. Clinical and laboratory parameters were analyzed. In a study taken patients with HIV-infection in the subclinical stage 3 without ART, with an established method of moprovskaja helminthiasis. The clinical picture of helminthiasis in HIV-infected was more severe than in people without HIV infection. Gastrointestinal disorders were 4 times more common in HIV-infected people with helminthiasis.

There was a high level of allergic reactions in the clinic of helminthiasis in patients with HIV pathology. Also in HIV-infected patients revealed changes of quantitative indicators of leucoformula, in particular, of eosinophils. In 93.1% of cases of helminthiasis in HIV-infected patients was observed expressed hypereosinophilia. The study showed a positive effect of deworming on eosinophils in HIV-infection.
