AbstractA comparative study of the relationship of the causative agent of tick-borne viral encephalitis with the R. sanguineus and R. rossicus, which are not part of the biocenosis of natural foci of encephalitis, and the ticks H. concinna that are carriers of the causative agents of this infections has been conducted. The ticks R. sanguineus and R. rossicus are infected less often than the ticks H. concinna, their transovarial and transphase transmission of the virus in less effective; the tick R. sanguineus possess significantly lower transmission of the virus during blood sucking. The purpose of the work is to study the ability to infect tick-borne encephalitis pathogen of various types of ixodid ticks.
